Portfolio Profile: WDBA Safety First Interactive Page

As part of their ongoing commitment to bringing information about the Gordie Howe International Bridge project, including what’s involved in the construction of it, to citizens of all ages, the Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) wanted to expand their Kid Construction Zone to include information on the safety equipment used by their workers as they prepare for the construction of the bridge.  This information needed to be presented in a fun and interactive way to help kids of all ages learn more about WDBA and how workers can keep themselves safe while working on a bridge.

NYNDESIGNS designed and developed the new Safety First interactive page to make it easy for users of any age to learn more about the safety equipment used by the team working on the Gordie Howe International Bridge project. We designed custom illustrations to help make the WDBA worker and safety equipment visually appealing and easy to recognize. The page is interactive, allowing users to place safety equipment on the worker to better understand how they stay safe during construction. Equipment will stay on the worker when properly placed, and let the user know when they have put each piece in the correct spot. When all of the equipment has been placed on the worker, a congratulatory message and graphics are displayed. Even with the interactive component, this page is fully responsive and can be used on desktop, mobile, or tablet.

As WDBA continues to look to expand the information throughout their website, including needing more design work, website functionality, interactivity, and special sections like the Kid Construction Zone, NYNDESIGNS will continue to work to provide them solutions to get their information out to the public and promote engagement with the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.
